Response from Pastor Hagee to charges of "Anti-Catholicism"- March 26, 2008
I feel the need after days of media misrepresentation to respond to slanderous accusations about being a religious bigot. It is truly disappointing to me to see how quickly accusation and rumor crystallize into fact in the hands of media outlets, which do not seem interested in subjecting these claims to serious review in search of the truth.
I know that those of you here today know better than to believe everything you hear on the television or read in the newspaper. I want to thank you for your trust and your faith in me as evidenced by your many cards, letters and phone calls of support at home and across America. The main claim my critics are making is that I am anti-catholic and that I have made derogatory statements about the Catholic Church.
Anyone who knows anything about me, my life’s work and this church, knows how utterly false this accusation is. Nonetheless, let me state my position as clearly as I can. I am not now, nor have I ever been anti-Catholic. Cornerstone Church has operated a social services center for more than 20 years where we feed the hungry and clothe the needy five days a week. The vast majority of those who benefit from this ministry are Catholic.
I personally supported a convent for over ten years providing complimentary housing for elderly, retired nuns. Many of you remember the day of honor that we had for those nuns in this church for their lifetime of service to God. These are not the acts of someone who is anti-Catholic. I have dedicated most of my adult life to eradicating anti-Semitism from Christianity.
As part of this effort, I have criticized the past anti-Semitism of the Catholic Church and the Protestant Church. In fact, I rarely speak about Christian anti-Semitism without denouncing the founder of Protestantism, Martin Luther, whose book, “concerning the Jews and their lies” was a poisoned well of anti-Semitism. Calling Christians to account for our past anti-Semitism does not make me anti-Catholic and it does not make me Anti-Protestant. It simply makes me an opponent of anti-Semitism.
Throughout my life, I have often taught from the Book of Revelation. During these teachings, I have read to you the Apostle John’s writings about the great whore of Revelation 17. In my writings, I have never stated that the great whore is the Catholic Church. Quite to the contrary, the Book Revelation teaches clearly that the great whore will be an apostate church made up of all Christians from all denominations that stray from the path of God and embrace a godless lifestyle including the sin of anti-Semitism.
The media attacks have expanded to include the accusation that I am also anti-gay. The Bible clearly teaches that homosexuality is not a righteous lifestyle. But this doesn’t mean that I and the millions of other bible-believing Christians are hateful toward the gay community. The Bible teaches that there are many sins and that all of us are guilty of committing sin at some point in time.
Does this mean that I hate you, that I hate myself or anyone who comes short of the Glory of God? No, on the contrary. Christ teaches us to love one another, as I have loved you. We follow Christ’ example; we hate the sin and we love the sinner. As most of you know, two years ago, I founded Christians United for Israel. I believed then and believe now that Israel’s friends dare not be silent when Israel is facing such serious threats to her existence.
Ever since I started speaking out for Israel, I have come under intense scrutiny and increasing attack. I did not plan to spend this period of my life in the middle of a political fire storm. Rest assured I will not shrink from our work on behalf of Israel.
I will continue to stand with Israel in the future. (Applause) Thank you very much. Thank you.
It is the work of God for such a time as this. I will continue to preach an uncompromising Gospel and continue to speak out when I feel that my love for America and the State of Israel and the Jewish people deserve it, even when it is not politically correct. I want to thank you all for your confidence in me and your support of me. It means more to me than you know. I have received many messages of support from church members, ministry partners, political leaders, and friends in the community and from across America.
A Special Message from Pastor John Hagee Regarding His Book In Defense of Israel
Dear Friend:
I am writing to share with you some important news pertaining to my latest book In Defense of Israel. It has come to my attention that my choice of language and some of the interpretation being given that language in Chapter Ten has caused some confusion and actually led some readers to question whether I believe that Jesus is the Messiah. If people are reaching such a conclusion, then I have clearly failed to communicate my views as well as I should have.
I have decided to release a new edition of In Defense of Israel with an expanded Chapter Ten. The new version will make the same point as the prior one, but using language which cannot mislead anyone about my bedrock belief that Jesus was and is Lord, Savior and Messiah.
I was surprised to learn that some people were interpreting my words as a rejection of this most fundamental Christian belief that Jesus came to earth as the Messiah promised in the Hebrew Scriptures. I have been preaching the gospel for half a century. Almost every Sunday for the past 50 years, I have stood in front of Christian audiences to clearly proclaim the glory of our Lord, Savior and Messiah, Jesus Christ. For the past 30 years, these weekly sermons have been beamed to millions around the world on Christian television.
Given my long years of preaching the gospel to so many, it simply never occurred to me that anyone would question my belief in the fundamentals of the faith. I chose to use challenging language that I hoped would confront the body of Christ to consider events from the Jewish and historical perspective and therefore develop greater empathy for our Jewish friends.
Over the centuries, Christians have been quick to condemn the Jews for failing to recognize Jesus as Messiah. This approach led to replacement theology and the viewpoint of some that God has rejected and broken covenant with the Jewish people. These ideas, in turn, opened the door to a vicious Christian anti-Semitism that led to the Crusades, the Inquisition and countless pogroms.
I tried to challenge this view by highlighting a distinction that has been long recognized in Christian theology between the role Jesus played in His first coming, and the role He will play in his second coming. Jesus came the first time as the suffering Messiah, as exemplified by His persecution, rejection and crucifixion. Jesus will come back as the reigning Messiah, who will rule the world from His throne in Jerusalem as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
We Christians believe that the suffering Messiah was clearly foreshadowed in the writings of the Hebrew prophets. However, most Jews have never read the prophets in this way. The Jews were expecting the reigning Messiah. I know this, you know this, and our omniscient and omnipotent Savior knows this.
God could have sent His Son to earth as the reigning Messiah the Jews were expecting. Instead He chose to send Him as the suffering Messiah, who submitted to the Cross, and I thank Him every day that He did. But I also regret daily that this divine move has led so many of the fallen humans it saved to denigrate and persecute the Jewish people from whom our Lord sprang.
In the expanded Chapter Ten, I will make the same point with language that does not hide my own perspective on the matter. The primary change will involve how I use the word “Messiah.” In the expanded version, I will clarify the clear distinction between the “Suffering Messiah,” the Lamb of God and the “Reigning Messiah,” the Lion of the Tribe of Judah!
I am deeply grieved for any confusion my writing may have caused the body of Christ. It was never intended. I trust this letter and the expanded edition of In Defense of Israel will clarify what I believe. I also hope that we can return our focus to what I had anticipated to highlight all along, the fact that we Christians must shift from condemning the Jews for what they missed to thanking them for what they gave. Blessings to you and those you love,
Pastor John Hagee

Pastor John Hagee's Scripture of the Week
Joshua 21:45 - November 16, 2009
"Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass." Joshua 21:45
It is imperative to stay focused on God's Word especially as we listen to the daily news or witness world events. Christians United For Israel stands with Israel and the Jewish people because of our steadfast belief in God's faithfulness to His irrevocable covenant. May the Almighty's richest blessings overtake you and those you love as you hear His voice and do what His Word commands.
Psalm 23: 1-6 - November 9, 2009 We choose this day to honor the brave soldiers whose lives were taken last week at Ford Hood, Texas.
The Lord promises in His Word to comfort those who mourn and to have mercy on the afflicted.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guies me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
We stand united with the families who lost loved ones and those who sit in vigil for the injured. May the hands of a merciful God bring total healing to the wounded and the broken hearted.
Amen, Pastor John Hagee

Esther 6:11-13 - November 2, 2009 So Haman took the robe and the horse, arrayed Mordecai and led him on horseback through the city square, and proclaimed before him, "Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!" Afterward Mordecai went back to the kings' gate. But Haman hurried to his house, mourning and with his head covered. When Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him, his wise men and his wife Zeresh said to him, "If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against him but will surely fall before him." Esther 6:11-13
Haman's wife foretells of her husband's impending demise. She and the wise men surrounding Haman also declare the divine protection that surrounds the Jews. Biblical curses followed the Amalekites because of their long standing conflict with Israel. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob swore in Exodus 17:16 that He would be at war with every generation of Amalekites. Haman, the amalekite, plotted the destruction of the Jews, as did his ancestors, therefore his downfall was eminent.
The Lord is the same, yesterday, today and forever. He promises to bless those who bless His chosen and curse those that curse Israel and her people.

Hebrews 11:8-10 - October 12, 2009
“By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance,” obeyed and went even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made a home in the Promised Land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.” Hebrews 11:8-10
It is by this same faith that the people of Israel rely on the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for supernatural protection. It is by this same faith that Christians stand with Israel and the Jewish people as her enemies surround her with promises of destruction.
This week, Mojtaba Zolnour, an aide to the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has reportedly said that if the US or Israel attacks Iran, Teheran would retaliate and “blow up the heart of Israel”.
I ask that you continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
For those of you that live in the San Antonio area I invite you to join us at the 28th annual Night to Honor Israel at Cornerstone Church, October 25, at 6:30pm with special guest Nobel Prize recipient Elie Wiesel.

Joel 2:18 and Zechariah 8:2-3- August 17, 2009
“...the Lord will be zealous for His land.” Joel 2:18
Israeli public radio reported Saturday that vast tracts of Israeli agricultural land in the Galilee area have been purchased by Arabs with financial backing from the Gulf. With Iran promising to destroy Israel with nuclear warfare, with threats from Hezbollah and Hamas on her northern and southern borders and with pressure mounting from world governments and a hostile United Nations, let us continually pray for the peace of Jerusalem as we remember the words of the Lord…
“Thus says the Lord of hosts. ‘I am zealous for Zion with great zeal; with great fervor I am zealous for her.’ Thus says the Lord: I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain.” Zechariah 8:2-3

Psalm 52:9- August 10, 2009
After the CUFI Summit in DC, I was privileged to interview Holocaust survivor Ellie Wiesel in New York.
I was deeply moved by the peaceful countenance of this precious man and his lovely wife. They are strong, full of life and full of hope. Hope that this time things will be different; that this time people will do what is right that this time Christians will unite for them instead of against them.
I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it; And I will hope in thy name, for it is good, in the presence of thy saints. Psalm 52:9 (American Standard Version)
God is doing a good thing; He is uniting Christians from around the world to come to the aid of His people. I ask the leaders of Christians United for Israel not to become weary in well doing. I ask you to have hope in God, for He will do for us what must be done to bless and comfort His beloved. All we must to is be willing and trust in His faithfulness. May the Lord bless you and those you love as you bless the Jewish people.

Psalm 133 - July 27, 2009
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing— Life forevermore. Psalm 133
I sing the song of David for it was truly beautiful to witness the unity and joy in the sea of Christian supporters at the Night to Honor Israel in Washington this past week.
Thousands gathered from all fifty states to learn more about the conditions in the Middle East and about Israel and her people. Thousands of us voiced our unified support in the 365 appointments with our elected officials. It was a magnificent sight!
May the blessings of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob be upon every household that made the sacrifice of time and finances to attend the fourth annual Washington Summit.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Psalm 35:1-3- July 6, 2009
As we celebrate America’s independence, it is so important to pray for our soldiers who put their lives in harms way to daily defend our freedoms and liberty. They are just as great as the men and women that made our original independence possible.
Plead my cause, O Lord, with those who strive with me; Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. Also draw out the spear, and stop those who pursue me. Say to my soul, “I am your salvation.” Psalm 35:1-3
As we pray for our soldiers we should remember the members of the Israel military as well who stand in defense of freedom while representing the only democracy in the Middle East;
I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Isaiah 62:1- June 29, 2009
"For Zion's sake I will not keep silent; For Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet." Isaiah 62:1
This past week, America and the world watched the citizens of Iran being shot and beaten by goons of the Theocratic Dictatorship under Ahmadinejad and his superiors. If you want a portrait of radical Islam in action, this was it! Ahmadinejad was not "elected"...he was "selected." Why? There can only be one intelligent conclusion. Ahmadinejad has the backing of the Theocratic Dictatorship and their plans to continue their pursuit of nuclear weapons are cast in stone. Once armed with nuclear weapons, Ahmadinejad will have the power to make good on his threats to "wipe Israel off the map" and create a world "without America."
Our government is putting extreme pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a two state solution and to call for a freeze on new settlement construction for there to be peace in the Middle East. The belief that a two state solution will bring instant peace in the Middle East is not supported by history. During the Clinton Administration, the Prime Minister of Israel, Ehud Barak offered Yasser Arafat, leader of the Palestinians, everything he had been demanding for years to have a Palestinian State.
Barak's offer included East Jerusalem as the capital city of the new Palestinian State. It offered 95% of the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), and the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails who had committed major crimes against the citizens of Israel.
What was Arafat's response? He turned the offer down immediately without a counteroffer. Why? Because peace with Israel was not his objective.
Arafat went home from Camp David and started a war with Israel. That was his true objective and remains the objective of too many Palestinians.
Another painful historical fact is that Ariel Sharon forced almost 10,000 Israelis out of their home in Gaza and gave the Palestinians exactly what they are demanding right now...a piece of real estate free of Jews.
Did it bring peace? No! Gaza became a terrorist camp where rockets are launched into Israel on a regular basis.
I want to invite you to the Christians United for Israel Summit in Washington D.C., July 20-22. Click here to register.
The purpose is to send a clear message to the members of congress, many of them new to the political atmosphere of Washington, that we insist our government stop putting pressure on Israel to do what the Israelis themselves do not believe is in their best interest.
Let's be clear! Israel is the front lines of the war against radical Islam! If we do not stand up and speak up for Israel, God will require it of us in the future. The battle of radical Islam will come to the streets of America and millions of Americans will be saying..."Why didn't someone do something?"
Fact: Christians United for Israel is doing something! Join us in D.C. July 20-22. Call the CUFI switchboard at 210-477-1417 to make your reservations. I look forward to seeing you there.

Genesis 17: 3-8- June 22, 2009 America recognized the 100th anniversary of Father’s Day yesterday and I pray that all fathers reading this devotional had a blessed time with family and loved ones.
Much of the current conflict in the Middle East is because of the lack of recognition of the covenant made by God, our Father, with Abraham whom He referred to as the “father of many nations”.
As Christians who believe in this everlasting covenant we stand with Abraham’s descendents now and forever. I ask that you stand with us and make every effort to attend the Christians United for Israel Summit in Washington DC, July 20-22,2009 as we unite with thousands around the country to show our support of Israel and the Jewish people. Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying:
4 “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. 5 No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. 6 I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. 7 And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. 8 Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” Genesis 17: 3-8

Nehemiah 4:19b-20 - June 8, 2009
"The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!" Nehemiah 4:19b-20
Last week, an Associated Press article noted that as President Obama “presses Netanyahu for concessions,” the President “has to be looking over his shoulder toward the … Christian organizations that back Israel…” The article ads that groups such as ours can form a bulwark against “an American president who tips too far from Israel.”
Indeed, CUFI can play a crucial role in the weeks and months to come in standing up for Israel’s democratically elected leaders. We can stress that Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons remains the greatest threat to peace in the Middle East. We can remind our representatives that Arab rejection of Israel’s right to exist remains the core barrier to a negotiated settlement.
Our Washington, D.C. summit will provide an important opportunity to communicate this message to our leaders. As we gather from all parts of the country in our nation’s capitol I ask that you remain in prayer for the DC Summit. This is by far one of the most important times to unite in support of Israel. Like in the times of Nehemiah; as leaders, if we are separated we are ineffective but when we come together, God Himself will fight for us in our unity. Please click here to register for the Summit.

Psalm 83:1-5 and Isaiah 62:1 - June 1, 2009
O God, do not be silent! Do not be deaf. Do not be quiet, O God. 2 Don’t you hear the uproar of your enemies? Don’t you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up? 3 They devise crafty schemes against your people; they conspire against your precious ones. 4 “Come,” they say, “let us wipe out Israel as a nation. We will destroy the very memory of its existence.” 5 Yes, this was their unanimous decision. They signed a treaty as allies against you—Psalm 83:1-5 (NLT)
As we make plans to gather from all states in the Union in Washington DC to stand on Israel’s behalf it is important to know that God’s infallible Word warns us of what will come against the Apple of His eye.
Psalm 83 asks God to do His part and God asks us to do our part in Isaiah 62;
1 Because I love Zion, I will not keep still. Because my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent. I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch. Isaiah 62:1 (NLT)

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married." Isaiah 62:2-4
Prophetic scripture was fulfilled 61 years ago when Israel was made a nation and history was also made when over 1,100 churches in 49 countries showed unified support for Israel and the Jewish people in their church services yesterday by joining together as part of Christians United for Israel Sunday. We are receiving reports from around the country and across the globe about yesterday's phenomenal event. We will provide a detailed report and pictures in next week's update.
I want to thank every person that was a part of showing comfort to the Apple of God’s Eye. May your days be filled with joy, health and plenty. May your ministries grow above and beyond your desires and may God’s eternal grace and mercy take you from strength to strength as you continue to bless the Jewish people.

Joel 3:2- May 4, 2009 GOD JUDGES THE NATIONS
GOD JUDGES THE NATIONS "I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, they have also divided up My land." (Joel 3:2)
God makes it clear that He will bring into judgment any nation, America included, that forces the division of the land of Israel. That also includes the division of Jerusalem.
Recently, the Washington Post carried an editorial entitled "Israel's New Government." It emphasized what the Israeli's must concede to continue to have support from the U.S.
What was lacking in the article was what Israel’s neighbors must do before they have acceptance by Israel and the U.S. for a two-state solution. Pressure should not be put on Israel alone, as the editorial attempted to do.
For a two-state solution to become a reality, Palestinians in both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip must recognize the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state. They must also renounce terrorism and understand that they cannot use terrorism as a negotiating tool to achieve their statehood. The Palestinians must also agree to abide by all previous agreements signed by their leadership.
Peace will not come in the Middle East by pressuring Israel to make unilateral concessions in return for worthless promises on worthless pieces of paper.
When you join CUFI in Washington D.C. at the July 20-22 Summit, you are sending a strong signal to every member of Congress you support the state of Israel and don’t support pressure on Israel alone to carry the complete burden of peace in the Middle East.
Now is the time for you to stand up and speak up for the peace of Jerusalem.
I look forward to seeing you, your friends, your families and church members at the Washington D.C. Summit.

Israel's watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie around and dream, they love to sleep. They are dogs with mighty appetites; they never have enough. They are shepherds who lack understanding; they all turn to their own way, each seeks his own gain. Isaiah 56:10-11
Sixty years ago, Gen. Dwight Eisenhower accepted the surrender of the German High Command, ending a 12-year nightmare for the Jews of Europe, 6 million of whom perished in the death camps. More than half of the murder victims were children. Where was the Church? The Church was strangely silent.
On April 20th, the anniversary of Hitler’s birthday, the United Nations hosted an “Anti-Racism” Conference. The invited speaker was the President of Iran, Mahmud Amadinijad. As Amadinijad ranted against Israel I am proud to report that over 40 western nations walked out in protest to his fury and threats against Israel. Just as Hitler planned to annihilate the Jewish people through the final solution so does this extremist from Iran plan to “wipe Israel off the map”. We must not ignore him like we ignored Hitler.
As The Jewish community around the world commemorated “Yom Ha’Shoah” (Day of Remembrance of those who perished in the Holocaust) this past week, Christians must make a united vow not to remain silent again! As Pastors we cannot be “as dumb dogs” who refuse to awaken the nations to the dangers against the Jewish people.
I ask that you join us on CUFI Sunday as well as make plans to attend the Washington Summit July 20-22 uniting with thousands of other Christians who will stand with Israel and the Jewish people around the world!
I believe this is Israel’s most critical moment in recent history and we can be a part of her deliverance.
The Church has been given another chance; we must not be silent this time!
This time let’s take a stand in her defense!

Romans 13:7 and Isaiah 40:1- April 20, 2009
Render to all men their dues...respect to whom respect is due, and honor to whom honor is due. Romans 13:7
I want to thank all of the Executive Board Members, Regional, State and City Directors that attended the CUFI Leadership Summit in San Antonio last week.
The sacrifice of their time was received in the courts of heaven and I know they will be greatly blessed for their efforts on behalf of Zion.
Bringing comfort to the Jewish people is a biblical mandate;
Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Isaiah 40:1
Christians United for Israel recently received this moving testimony.
I am Jewish and always am thankful for your work on behalf of us. I have come to the past two SUMMITS AND WILL BE COMING TO THIS ONE. I AM A CHILD OF HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS WHO LOST THEIR ENTIRE FAMILIES. I was born in a dp camp in Linz Austria. Never have I felt that I have family that can fight for an Israel. Until you. Thank you. You have brought comfort to so many and the Lord will bring comfort to you.

Special Easter Message- April 12, 2009
He is not here, but is risen. Remember how He spoke to you...” Luke 24:6

“... Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever.” Revelation 7:12
May the blessings of our Lord and Savior be upon you as you put your trust in Him. (Psalm 2:12b) May His shield be your salvation, your health and your prosperity and may His right hand hold you up, (Psalm 18:35) as you unite with Christians around the world in support of Israel and the Jewish people.
“The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of your salvation be exalted!” Psalm 18:46

Matthew 24:16-18; 20- March 23, 2009
“...then let those that are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. ...And pray that your flight may not be ...on the Sabbath.” Matthew 24:16-18; 20
Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives with His twelve disciples and foretold the future of Israel and the world in Matthew Chapter 24.
Jesus knew the Jewish people would be in control of Israel in the future. This truth is evident in His words... “...pray that your flight may not be on the Sabbath.” Only if the Jewish people were in control of Israel would the Sabbath laws be in effect.
Jesus goes further to state that “those who are on the house top should not go down to take anything out of his house.” And “let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.”
Jesus was describing Israel as we see it TODAY! The Jewish people are in control of Israel and they live under the threat of sudden attacks everyday.
Since last year Hamas launched over 3,200 rockets into Israel. The Jewish people have seconds to get to a bomb shelter before the rockets explode. They have no time to come in from the field or to come down from the roof of their homes.
In addition, as you read this, Iran threatens a nuclear holocaust. Israel has an existential threat to its future. What is our role?
Jesus made it clear to all of His followers who are called Christians to do the following;
“In as much as you have done it unto the least of these my brethren you have done it unto Me.”
If there was ever a time in history for Christians United for Israel it is today! If there was ever a time for you to speak out and stand up for the state of Israel and the Jewish people before our government, it is today!
Today I am flying to Washington DC to personally deliver to members of the U.S. Congress more than 100,000 Israel Pledge forms that many of you have signed and submitted. Thank you so very much for your efforts and commitment on behalf of Israel.
I ask that you take one step further and consider joining me and thousands of others for the Fourth Annual CUFI Summit, July 19-22, 2009. We have an exciting program designed to educate, train and equip you to effectively stand with Israel before our government, our churches and our communities.

Psalm 117 and Psalm 118: 5-7- March 16, 2009
Praise the Lord, all of you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Psalm 117
I called on the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is for me among those who help me; therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me. Psalm 118: 5-7
I know the blessings of the Lord surround the righteous; those that heed the voice of God and obey His commandments. Throughout His Word we are mandated to bless the Jewish people and in obedience to this command we will be blessed indeed. What can you do?
I urge you to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

1 Samuel 17:29- March 9, 2009 When David took food to his brothers while they were preparing to enter into battle with the Philistines in the Valley of Elah he was confronted with a choice. Should he to return to his father with news from the front or stay and fight Goliath?
David chose to stay and do his part; kill the evil giant! He was mocked by his elder brother as well as the establishment by being falsely accused of pride and disrespect, while the all others ran in fear of the threatening Philistine.
What was David’s response?
“Is there not a cause?”
Even Saul told David that he was too young to win the battle and that the enemy of Israel was too great to defeat. Yet David remained confident,
“The Lord that delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.”
The armies of Israel are once again under the existential threat of another Goliath...Iran. Ahmadinejad, Iran’s president, has been quoted in the world press that his objective is “to wipe Israel off the map!”
Iran has the power and the desire to destroy Israel. We, as David, have the choice of watching from the sidelines and report what happens to others or take a bold stand with personal involvement and dramatic action.
We must get involved. You must get INVOLVED!
You need to make your choice to go to Washington, D.C. July 20-22, 2009 and participate in the Forth Annual Washington Summit. You need to take action on behalf of Israel and stand before the members of the US Congress and express your support of Israel and the Jewish people, the apple of God’s eye.
Do not wait until disaster happens and then wail, “Why didn’t somebody do something?”
We can do something; we can unite as Christians United for Israel and make a difference in our nation’s capitol!
Is there not a cause?
Yes, and that cause is Israel!

Psalm 7: 1, 2 and 17- December 15, 2008 It was reported Tuesday by the state-owned IRNA that Iranian Vice President Esfandyar Rahim Mashaei believes the destruction of Israel should become an international goal and a global demand. We stand with Israel and her people and we pray to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for their protection.
O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me: Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it to pieces, while there is none to deliver.
I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high. Psalm 7: 1, 2 and 17
If you have not signed the Israel Pledge I ask you to do so. It is imperative that we send a clear message to the new administration that we support the Jewish people around the world.
May the Lord richly bless you and those you love as you pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Psalm 10: 14-15- December 1, 2008
Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble. Why do the wicked renounce God? He has said in his heart, “You will not require an account.”
But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, to repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless. Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man; Seek out his wickedness until You find none. Psalm 10: 14-15
We extend our condolences and sympathy to the families who suffered loss as a result of the terrorist acts in Mumbai, India.
We ask the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to bring total healing to the wounded and comfort to the families who have lost their loved ones.

No one is immune from this evil adversary. Please sign The Israel Pledge and ask your family and friends to do the same as a symbol of support for those affected by this despicable act of hatred.

Let the house of Aaron [the priesthood] now say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.
Let those now who reverently and worshipfully fear the Lord say that His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

Ezekiel 36:8-12- November 17, 2008 As the people of Israel defend themselves from continuous rocket attacks from Gaza, and terrorist threats from Syria, Lebanon and Iran, it is comforting to hear what the Lord says about His beloved Israel.
But you, O mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home.
I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor; you will be plowed and sown, and I will multiply the number of people upon you, even the whole house of Israel.
The towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. I will increase the number of men and animals upon you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
I will cause people, my people Israel, to walk upon you. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance; you will never again deprive them of their children. Ezekiel 36:8-12

Romans 13:1, Timothy 1:1-2, Proverbs 23:1 - November 10, 2008 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Romans 13:1

Psalm 129:5, Isaiah 29:8 and 52:8- November 3, 2008 The Word of God promises that, “The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
My deepest gratitude to all who prayed for my protection and healing during and after my recent surgery. I thank the Lord for you daily and am eternally grateful for the restoration that He has given my body.
Truly the Lord is true to His Word; “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.”
My deepest appreciation to the Christians United for Israel staff who worked so diligently while I was away, special thanks to David Brog, Shari Dollinger, Velvet Ridings and to those leaders who presented the weekly scriptures. I pray the Lord’s richest blessings upon them and those they love.
I also express thanks the Lord for your strong and immovable stand for Israel and the Jewish people during this critical time in their history.
I am often asked what the Lord says of those people or nations who come against Israel and as always, I turn to the Scripture for the answer.
The Lord says of those who stand against Zion, Let all those who hate Zion be put to shame and turned back. Psalm 129:5 (NKJ)
And
...as when a hungry man dreams that he is eating, but he awakens, and his hunger remains; as when a thirsty man dreams that he is drinking , but he awakens faint, with his thirst unquenched. So will it be with the hordes of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion. Isaiah 29:8
And in contrast, what of the man or woman who stands with Israel?
Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes. Isaiah 52:8

Psalm 10: 7-12; 9:13-15 - August 4, 2008 David cries out to the Lord and speaks to Him of the enemies that surround him…
His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is trouble and iniquity. He sits in the lurking places of the villages; in the secret places he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly placed on the helpless. He lies in wait secretly as a lion in his den...He has said in his heart, “God has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see.”
David cries out to God...
Arise, O Lord! O God, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble! Have mercy on me, Oh Lord! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, you who lift me up from the gates of death. Than I may tell of all Your praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in Your salvation. Psalm 10: 7-12; 9:13-15

Psalm 133- July 28, 2008 How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. We give thanks to the Lord for His goodness and for His faithfulness to His Word. Because of His blessing, the good integrity of many participants and the hard work of hundreds, the Third Annual Christians United for Israel Summit was a tremendous success.
We began the Summit with record registrations and ended the three day event with over four thousand attendees to our National Night to Honor Israel.
I want to personally thank all the CUFI Directors who sacrificed of their time and resources to attend this historic Summit. Every plenary and breakout session was outstanding. My special thanks to Senator Joseph Lieberman, Congressman Engel from New York, Dennis Prager and Randy Travis and all the Congressional leaders who attended the Night to Honor Israel Banquet. Their contribution to our Summit made it more outstanding than ever.
Senator Lieberman’s keynote speech was excellent. This honorable man sited scripture that rang true in the hearts of both Christians and Jews. He came while under great pressure not to attend. We thank him for his amazing contribution to the Summit.
Dennis Prager, who has spoken at our Cornerstone Church’s Night to Honor Israel, was once again in fantastic form. I will forever be indebted to Dennis for defending me and CUFI with vigor on his national radio show on several occasions. Dennis is brilliant and if you want to hear great, solid Bible based morality presented on the radio; listen to his daily broadcast.
Randy Travis and his band gave a fantastic concert on Monday night at the Chairman’s Dinner. Randy sang two songs from his just released album, AROUND THE BEND. We thank Randy and Elizabeth for their invaluable contribution of this event. If you want to support good, clean country music, get this album for your friends and family.
We were thrilled to receive over 250 students from more than 100 college campuses for our first “Joshua Generation-CUFI on Campus” outreach. Many of these students had never had the opportunity to visit with their Congressional representatives; it was truly a historical event for them and CUFI.
Rabbi Schienberg opened the Night to Honor Israel with a profound invocation and Father Roger Hunter-Hall benediction brought a beautiful ending to a great Night to Honor Israel. Rabbi’s visionary stand with Christians has made this organization possible. I thank him from the bottom of my heart.
I want to thank all of our staff for their incredible contribution to making this event so successful. David Brog, Shari Dollinger, Randy Neal, Andrew Summey, John Summerville, Velvet Ridings and a score of volunteers working feverishly behind the scenes made the Summit appear flawless. I pray blessings on them and their loved ones.
We will soon begin preparations CUFI's Fourth Annual Washington-Israel Summit July 13 to 16, 2009. We hope that you will make plans to join us. Please click here for a Night to Honor Israel near you and support it with your presence.

Isaiah 62: 6- May 19, 2008
I had the distinct privilege to speak at the United Nations building on May 15, the 60th anniversary of Israel's birth. I commend Robert and Anna Sterns of Eagle's Wings and Regional Directors for Region 10 of Christians United for Israel. Robert and his Eagle’s Wings staff did a masterful job of organizing this historic celebration. The United Nations event was, among many things, an awakening to the miracle existence of a Covenant Land.
We must stand with Israel, as Christians we have no choice. We have a biblical mandate to be “watchmen”. We are commanded not to “hold our peace day and night”. We are not to “keep silent”. (Isaiah 62: 6)
We have put together many opportunities for you to join us in DC for the Third Annual Washington/Israel Summit. If you are a Pastor within 500 miles and would like to host a bus tour to the Summit, Christians United for Israel will scholarship your travel and rooming. Please call the CUFI office at (210) 477-4714 for more information.
Diana and I met several Pastors eager to become part of the leadership of CUFI in their state or city. If you are a Pastor and would like to become an active leader for your state or city please contact Teresa Weaver at (210) 477-4725 and she will provide all the necessary information.
If you own a business and wish to sponsor one of the many dynamic Summit events please contact Shari Dollinger at Shari@cufi.org or (404) 875-9064.
I encourage you to pray and seek God’s voice on attending the Summit. We must gather in record numbers to make the impact necessary to make a difference in Washington. The battles are many but the Lord will bless those who bless His people.
May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and those you love as you continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Matthew 6:8 - May 5, 2008 "For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask him." Matthew 6:8
Even before we call upon the Lord in prayer, He knows what we need and has already begun the process of providing for that need.
Before you ever knew what it was to be hungry, God gave to the earth the ability to grow every kind of food to nourish your body completely.
Before you knew what it was to be cold, God placed fuels in the earth to warm you and the wool of sheep to comfort you.
Before you knew what it was to sin, God made redemption possible. Before you knew what it was to be sick, God promised healing to His people.
When Israel was scattered across the nations of the earth, Isaiah promised that "a nation would be born in a day." That miracle date was May 14, 1948 when Ben Gurion announced the formation of the state of Israel and a stubborn Missouri U.S. president, Harry S. Truman, signed a document recognizing the state of Israel in 11 minutes.
Today, Israel is living in a day of danger. Iran is threatening to wipe the Jewish state off the map. They are nearing nuclear capability every day.
We have the ability to stand with Israel in Washington D.C. We may not individually have the power of a president, but thousands of us united with one voice can change American as well as world history.
I know that economic times are tough. I realize that the price of fuel is outrageous. I know that your time is valuable. And I also know that God has called us to come together with one heart and one voice in support of Israel.
I ask that you prayerfully consider registering for the CUFI Washington/Israel Summit by clicking here.
As you consider joining us, I ask that you join CUFI in fulfilling the words of King David to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem."

Message from Pastor Hagee- April 28, 2008 Sunday night April 27, 2008 will go down as an historic moment in Christian-Jewish relationship in America. On this night the Jewish Federation of Sarasota Florida led by the Federation president and a reform Rabbi Simon sponsored a Night to Honor Israel at the Hope Church.
The church was packed with Christians and Jews who were committed to helping Israel in her time of crisis. It was night in which people of different faiths looked beyond their differences to accomplish a public expression of solidarity with Israel.
Everyone in the audience became aware that Israel and America face a day of danger from Ahmadinejad of Iran. Every person there left the meeting uplifted and inspired that if 50 million Evangelicals and 5 million Jews in America could join forces it would be a match made in heaven.
The historic concept of the Federation sponsoring the event may be a turning point in Christian-Jewish relationships. It simply means that the Jewish community in Sarasota Florida gets it.
They have ignored the statements of critics and the skepticism of some in the Sarasota area to do what has never been done before. I extend my congratulations and sincere thanks for their courage and vision.

Psalm 133:1- April 14- 2008 Psalm 133:1 proclaims “How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” A week ago today we got a precious taste of what David was trying to convey in this song of ascent. About a thousand Christians gathered in downtown Jerusalem for Christians United for Israel’s first Jerusalem solidarity march. Waving American and Israeli flags, we marched through the streets of God's ancient city and stood with Israel in the most literal sense.
Our placards proclaimed “Israel, you are not alone” And by all accounts, this was a message that the Israelis who watched us pass were very hungry and happy to hear. As the residents of this beautiful city looked down from their balconies or watched from the sidewalks along our route, they showed their feelings with their cheers, their tears, and their improvised signs reading "thank you" and "bless you."
As we marched for Israel, it dawned on me that we are not only blessing Israel, but that God is using Israel to bless us. The Christians marching with us had come from so many different cities and churches. They certainly disagreed on many points of theology and belief. Yet they were all willing to put aside such differences to stand together on behalf of Israel. As Israel's enemies claw at her door and freely boast of their evil intentions to destroy her, we Christians can see like never before the need to put differences aside, and into perspective, so that we may stand together. The Lord is using Israel to unite Christians.
“How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Yes, as Christians United for Israel, and as Christians united with Israelis, it is good in pleasant indeed.

March 31, 2008- Psalm 37 I ask for your prayers for safe travel to Israel. Diana and I and the first half of our group will be arriving soon and the rest or our tour will arrive tomorrow. We have planned an inspirational tour hoping to bring comfort to the Jewish people during our time in Israel.
A Jewish scholar paraphrased Psalm 37 like this,
When lawless people succeed and wrong suppresses right, remember they will fade away and wither overnight. Commit your life to God, and trust the Lord to make the justice of your righteous cause shine clear for His name’s sake.
We stand committed to Israel and her people. Christians United for Israel is a righteous cause. As we witness lawless people conspire against Israel it is easy to become discouraged. We must not feel helpless; we must trust in the Lord; we must be proactive and do our part to stand for the righteous cause.
I urge you to join us in Washington DC, July 21-24 for the third annual Washington/Israel Summit. We planned and exciting event with special guests Senator Joseph Lieberman, Dennis Prager, Randy Travis and much more. United, we can make a difference.
Blessings to you and those you love

Psalm 102:13- MARCH 24, 2008 I pray that you had a joyful Resurrection Sunday with your loved ones.
Many of the leaders of Christians United for Israel are preparing to travel to Israel this week. I ask for your prayer covering of blessing and protection as over 1,000 pilgrims from around the world gather in Jerusalem for the first CUFI/Jerusalem Summit. We plan to host a Night to Honor Israel in Ariel and Jerusalem to bring comfort to the Jewish people in their time of need.
King David was a man after God’s own heart. He heeded the voice of the Lord and so must we.
You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. Psalm 102:13
Not all of us can travel to Israel but many of you can travel to Washington D.C. It is time to show favor to God’s people and to His covenant land. I ask that you register today to attend the Washington/Israel Summit in July. We must show in record numbers; we must stand with Israel as never before. I ask that in this election year you decide to take a “vacation with a purpose”…for in this election year, your presence in Washington is a “vote for Israel.”
May the Lord bless you and keep you as you prayerfully consider taking a stand in our nation’s capital for Israel.

Isaiah 61:2-4 - MARCH 17, 2008 I thank the over 1,000 people who have registered for the 2008 Washington DC/Israel Summit. I ask the hundreds of thousands of you that are part of CUFI to prayerfully consider joining us July 21-24. You can register by clicking here.
Israel is in a critical place in her history. Eight Rabbinical students are dead, victims to terror. Rockets are raining daily into Israel from Gaza. Iran, who has called for Israel’s destruction is supplying many of these weapons. Let us bring comfort to Zion by gathering in DC.
It is time for Christians to stand with Israel and let God’s covenant people know they are not alone! We must unite in Washington, in record numbers! Be part of a “vacation with a purpose” and in this election year, have your presence in Washington stand as a “vote for Israel”. Let us gather in our nation’s capital, united and in one voice…
…to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD or the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Isaiah 61:2-4
Please register today and make your reservation to join us for the Third Annual Washington/Israel Summit July 21-24. May the Lord richly bless you as you prayerfully consider this life-changing journey.

Psalm 121- March 10, 2008 As both Israel and America grieve over their loved ones lost in violent acts of terror in the Middle East, we ask that you pray Psalm 121 to bring comfort to those who have suffered loss and for those that are still in harms way.
I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Psalm 83:1-5- March 3, 2008 O God, do not keep silent; be not quiet, O God, be not still. See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more.” With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you. Psalm 83:1-5
No scripture in the Bible more accurately describes the crisis in Israel today! Hundreds of rockets are raining daily into Israel as the seed of Abraham is fighting for its very survival.
As the Jews attempt to defend themselves from the daily rocket fire coming from Gaza, most of which are supplied by Iran, we need to think on the words of King David and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Prayer is the most powerful force God has given to man. When you pray, you are talking to the "defender" of Israel. King David wrote: "He that keepeth Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps."
When you pray today, remind the Lord and "give Him no rest" until he makes Israel and Jerusalem the praise of all the earth.

Isaiah 40:1 - February 25, 2008 At the end of next month I am traveling to Israel with the leadership of Christians United for Israel and over one thousand Christians from around the world to demonstrate solidarity with the Jewish State. We want to show the people of Israel that they are not alone. We know that these days Israelis feel surrounded, besieged, and isolated. We think it’s extremely important that we come to Israel ourselves to demonstrate loudly and clearly that Israel has millions of Christian friends who will stand with her as she confronts the ongoing efforts to destroy her.
We understand that not everyone who has the heart to travel to Israel is able to participate in this trip, so CUFI is providing you an opportunity to stand with Israel without leaving your house.
When I meet with Israeli Prime Minister Olmert, I will present him with a Letter of Encouragement to the People of Israel including the names of everyone who signs the letter. If you have yet to sign the Letter of Encouragement to the People of Israel please click here.
Please encourage your friends and family to sign the Letter of Encouragement to the People of Israel. You can send them an email asking them to sign the letter by clicking here.
March 18, 2008 will be the last day you can sign the letter- so please act today.
By signing the Letter of Encouragement you are adhering to God's word in Isaiah 40:1 "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God."
We hope that you will take the time to show the people of Israel that we will stand with them as they make decisions that will be critical to their future.

Psalm 133- February 18, 2008 Diana and I hosted Region Six which is lead by Steve & Joy Strang at a retreat this weekend where we were able to gather together and discuss the various ways we can mobilize their four state region to Washington DC in July for the Christians United for Israel Summit. David Brog presented the importance of our presence in DC during this pivotal election year. Andrew Summey discussed the “CUFI on Campus” scholarship program for college students and Randy Caldwell shared our “Bus to the Summit” plans for people who live within a 500 mile radius to DC.
Those in attendance were Pastor Michael & Cindy Stevens, Charlotte, NC, Scott & Karen Allen, Atlanta, GA, Pastor Gary & Sharon Cristofaro, Melbourne, FL, Pastor Scott & Cindy Thomas, Lakeland, FL, Bishop Paul & Sharon Zink, Jacksonville, FL, Steve & Joy Strang of Orlando, FL and all presented creative ideas to meet our attendance goal. The most important outcome from our time together was the strong bonds that were established and the unity with which we resulted from our mutual love for Israel and the Jewish people. I want to thank all our leaders who make CUFI possible, for without you and the mighty efforts you extend the impact that we are making on behalf of Israel would not be possible. The blessing over our unity is best described by King David in Psalm 133,
“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.”

Whose Side are You On?- February 11, 2008 I was born during the dark days of World War II. I knew that Hitler was a bad man and the Japanese killed our sailors at Pearl Harbor.
At the age of five my mother bought me a military uniform and wooden rifle out of the Sears and Roebuck catalogue. I put it on and faithfully patrolled the back yard of our home in Deep South East Texas looking for the bad guys.
Patriotism in America was at an all time high. The sermons my father preached to his congregation proved to anyone who was rational that God was on our side.
However, at that very time in history the Germans were saying “God is with us” and the Japanese were called the “Sons of Heaven.” Every nation involved in combat in WW II was saying that God was on their side.
Now the winds of war are fiercely blowing across the Middle East. Israel is at war with Iran through the surrogate terrorist armies of Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Whose side are you on? The better question is “whose side is God on?”
While the Bible had no clear answer during WW II, it has a very clear answer for those who come against Israel.
King David writes in Psalm 124; “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say, If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us...our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”
David makes it clear the Lord is on the side of Israel in the day of battle. David also wrote, “He that keepeth Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps!” “Keepeth” is a military term being “to defend.”
Israel’s dearest friend is not America…it’s the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. If God created Israel, if God defends Israel, if God sees the Jewish people as the “apple of his eye” is it not logical to say “God is indeed on Israel’s side.” Whose side are you on?
When the Annapolis Conference was being planned and the topic of dividing Jerusalem came up, one man asked me, “Where do you stand on this based on the Bible?”
I responded that “the plan of the anti-Christ is to divide Jerusalem.” If America puts pressure on Israel to divide Jerusalem we are following the blueprint of the Prince of Darkness.
Amos 3:2 states that an`y nation that divides the land of Israel will come under the severe judgment of God. Whose side is America on? More importantly, whose side are we, as Christians on?
Please make plans to join us in Washington DC for the third annual Christians United for Israel Summit, July 21-24 and stand united for Israel.

Isaiah 62:1- February 4, 2008 Pierre Van Paassen began his career as a newspaper correspondent shortly after WWI. After interviewing an American Rabbi who had just returned from Mandatory Palestine, Van Paassen became passionate about the plight of European Jews.
Pierre Van Paassen's work led him to Europe in 1925 where he became introduced to the rising tyranny of Germany and Italy. By 1933, Van Paassan, who was fluent in German, began exposing the doctrines and policies of Hitler's fascist regime. Hitler and his Nazi hoards banned Van Paassan's work and later incarcerated him until he was eventually released.
After his imprisonment, Van Paassan lived in Palestine and wrote many books on the subject of the Jewish dilemma. One such book was entitled "The Forgotten Ally". If you were to read this book today, you would be awed that the times which Van Paassan describes of his generation are now repeating themselves, the only difference are the prayer's names.
Originally published in 1943, Van Paassan asks the question, "How have we come to the present state of affairs where the Jewish people are being exterminated on the one hand and their means of escape, on the other hand, is cut off?"
During this time Van Paassan writes, "Churchill has spoken but one word about the 'Jewish people that he is confident that the ideals of the prophets of Israel will come through'...But that is not enough...We know that the ideals of the prophets of Israel will never die and that the words spooned in Judea and Galilee will go on ringing through the ages till the end of time."
Van Paassan continues, "The ideals of the prophets of Israel have been hovering in the unattainable clouds of abstraction long enough. Long enough they have been in heaven. They must be brought down to earth, out of the realm of metaphysical and philosophical speculation. The Word must become flesh. The ideals of the prophets must be translated into concrete human relationships, into new national and international covenants, into freedom....into a Jewish State in Palestine."
As Israel fights for her existence today, we ask the question, "How is it that the enemies of Israel continually vow to annihilate her from the face of the earth yet the world remains strangely silent?"
The answer to this question is why Christians United for Israel was born, it is why we ask that you speak out and stand up for Israel and her people while there is still time. It is why we ask that you make your support known to the Jewish people, to our government and to Almighty God by standing with us in Washington DC, July 21-24.
It is why we stand with the ideals of the prophet Isaiah...
For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. Isaiah 62:1

Psalm 25:22- January 28, 2008 King David was Israel’s poet, prophet and warrior statesman. He puts his pen to parchment in Psalm 25:22 and pens this eternal prayer…”Redeem Israel, O God, out of all their troubles.”
This is a prayer that we can all pray today and everyday in the foreseeable future. The troubles of Israel have never been greater since statehood was declared in 1948.
Consider that the unruly mob that blew up the wall between Egypt and Gaza is the same Hamas mob that has been launching a daily rain of rockets into Israel. The rockets into Israel will not make the news… but let Israel respond militarily to the Hamas terrorist who launch their… then we see the doctored pictures to project Israel as the bully of the Middle East.
Consider that both Hamas in Gaza and Hizbollah in Lebanon are being trained, funded and equipped by Iran. It is not a matter if war is coming… its only a matter of when!
Consider that Ahmadinejad of Iran has said Israel “should be wiped off the map” and is working 24/7 with Russia’s assistance to develop nuclear weapons to make this nuclear nightmare a reality.
Remember that in Hitler’s Holocaust six million Jews were systematically slaughtered. The Jews of the world coined the phrase “never again!”
However, Ahmadinejad is the new Hitler of the Middle East and, ironically, there are now six million Jews living in Israel today.
Therefore, let each of us pray this prayer today and everyday in the near future…”Redeem Israel, O God, out of all their troubles!”
On July 21-24 members of CUFI will converge on Washington, D. C. to pray this prayer together. I want to invite you to make your reservations today and bring your friends and family with you for this historic summit.
Blessings to you and those you love

Isaiah 62:6- January 21, 2008 As world leaders from Germany, France, Britain and America agree that Iran is still a threat. Israel is confirming that Hamas has upgraded their missile capabilities since their violent takeover of the Gaza Strip last summer.
Israel needs our prayers and support. We must not let our guard down and become complacent at their time of need. It is for this reason and for this time that Isaiah, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit wrote, in Chapter 62 verse 6,
I have set watchmen on you walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. you who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him not rest til He establishes and til He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Please continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the safety of the Jewish people. I also ask that you register for the 2008 Summit. We can show the world and more importantly the Jewish people that we stand with them as never before by increasing our numbers from last year. Now is the time to make your commitment and be counted among the “watchmen”.

Isaiah 35:4; 2:2-3 and Micah 4:1-2- January 14, 2008 As world leaders attempt to decide the future of Israel and Jerusalem during diplomatic visits in an endeavor to create peace in the Middle East let remain focused on the Word of God and what is says about the future glory on Zion.
Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you. Isaiah 35:4
The Word clearly speaks of the future house of God,
In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.
Many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:2-3
In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." Prayer for the President- January 7, 2008 For protection, Psalm 41:2 “The LORD will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.” Psalm 140:1-4 “Rescue me, O LORD, from evil men; protect me from men of violence, who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day. They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent's; the poison of vipers is on their lips. Selah,
Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet. “
As he enters into these historical meetings we pray for discernment, Proverbs 3:21 “My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment, do not let them out of your sight.”
Psalm 119:125 “I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.” And may he be given the wisdom of Solomon, 1 Kings 4:29 “God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.”
Please make your plans now to join us Washington D.C. July 21-24, 2008 as we stand united in our Capitol for Israel.

Psalm 115:12 and 130:7- December 31, 2007 As the year comes to a close and we have the merciful opportunity to begin living a new year, I wish to thank those of you who have sacrificially given of your time and your resources to help Christians United for Israel be what it is today.
Your love of Israel and her people and your stand against anti-Semitism have made a difference in the lives of so many. Even when times have been difficult, the Lord has remained faithful to those who have shown unconditional love to His beloved. I share these words from Psalms that have brought me much comfort when I have become weary,
“The Lord hath been mindful of us: He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron.” Psalm 115:12
As we prepare to host more Nights to Honor Israel than we did in 2007. As we begin to rally those who stand with Israel in Washington for our Summit in July. As we recruit more members to CUFI and educate the Christian body of our Jewish roots, let us remember that we shall never become weary in well doing, we shall only go from victory to victory, holding the flag of unity with our Jewish friends higher than before, for there our God will command His blessing.
May the Lord bless you and those you love as we enter 2008 with anticipation and hope, remembering the words of King David, “Let Israel hope in the Lord; for with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption.” Psalm 130:7

Weekly Message - December 17, 2007 First, I want to give thanks to the Lord for the birth of Shari Dollinger’s first child, Aidan Israel Magnus. Mother and son are doing well, Shari and her husband Eric extend their thanks for all your prayers.
Second, as our Jewish friends end the Chanukah celebration allow us to remember its significance. The candles of Chanukah are lit every evening to commemorate God’s miracle of deliverance from oppression and to praise God’s great Name in acknowledgement of His great miracles.
The nightly readings in the synagogue list the various oppressors Israel has endured through the years and praises God for redeeming them from each one.
As this year comes to an end, I thank all of the members of Christians United for Israel who have so diligently prayed for the peace of Jerusalem, who have called on our President to stand with the country of Israel and for the encouragement you have brought to the people of this covenant land.
I thank the leadership of Christians United for Israel for their dedication in bringing together the thousands of individuals who desire to support Israel in this critical hour. May the work of your hands be blessed and may all you desire for you and your loved ones come to pass as Genesis 12:3 becomes reality in your lives.
Why Stand with Israel by Robert Sterns- December 10, 2007 Robert Sterns, CUFI Regional Director for Region 10 offers the following scriptures for your edification. Robert Sterns has answered a very crucial question for the body of Christ at this critical time in Israel's history. I challenge you to go to the Word of God which clearly defines His purpose for us during Israel's time of need. WHY STAND WITH ISRAEL? We are in a precarious moment in human history. Around the world countries are in great conflict over the rising force of radical Islam and the power it is exerting over nations' policies, specifically as they relate to Israel. As the nations shake and quake we must be clear on what we believe and why we believe it.
Here are five clear reasons why in this critical moment we must stand with Israel and the Jewish people.
1. Every believer is charged to make the Jews a priority in their value system and to render thanksgiving from their hearts for God’s work through them as a people.
Romans 9:4-5 says “... who are the Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen.”
So scripture speaks to us very clearly: we are dealing with the roots of everything that has to do with the revelation of God to humankind.
2. Our place in God’s present order inextricably links us with the Jews as a people and thereby the land of Israel according to the Word.
When we put our faith in the Redeemer who came through the Jews, we enter into a line of those who have trusted God according to His revealed grace and redemptive purpose.
3. God has made unique declarations regarding the land of Israel, which have never been rescinded:
- Leviticus 25:23 - The land is the Lord’s land, and it is His to assign and dispose of: “The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine...”
- Deuteronomy 32:43 “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people...He will provide atonement for His land and His people.”
- Ezekiel 38:16 God is speaking to people in the end times who rise up against Israel. God is speaking of a confrontation that will take place in His land. "You will come up against My people Israel...I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you..."
4. Israel’s present conflict is neither by their initiative nor perpetuated by expansionism on their part.
The general attitude of the world today regards the Palestinians as the underdog, but Israel is defending the land covenanted to them in 1917 and established by the United Nations Assembly Nov. 30, 1948. The Palestinian goal is not to secure a homeland but to drive Israel out altogether. For the sake ofmounting public opinion against Israel, surrounding well-resourced Arab nations have never offered refuge to the Palestinians. The majority of the world doesn’t know this, and nobody is bothering to tell them because sympathies are so overridden by other forces.
5.To stand with Israel is not to oppose Arab peoples as an entity or to deny the rights of Arabs living in Israel to peaceful, politically secure, and prosperous lives.
God has no disposition against any human being, certainly not Arabs who are the offspring of Ishmael, the other son of His chosen leader Abraham. Standing for Israel doesn’t require an anti-Arab stance and doesn’t require us to be loveless towards other peoples. (Excerpt from “Why Stand with Israel” from Watchmen on the Wall Manual. )

Nehemiah 4:6 and 4:15-20 - December 3, 2007 The associated Press recently reported that a wall mentioned in the Book of Nehemiah and long sought by archaeologists has been found. A team led by Eilat Mazar, head of the Institute of Archaeology at the Shalem Center, discovered the wall in Jerusalem's ancient City of David.
Artifacts including pottery shards and arrowheads found under the tower suggested that both the tower and the nearby wall are from the 5th century B.C., the time of Nehemiah. The findings suggest that the structure was actually part of the same city wall the Bible says Nehemiah rebuilt. The Book of Nehemiah gives a detailed description of construction of the walls, destroyed earlier by the Babylonians.
"We were amazed," Mazer said, noting that the discovery was made at a time when many scholars argued that the wall did not exist.” This was a great surprise. It was something we didn't plan." The first phase of the dig, completed in 2005, uncovered what Mazar believes to be the remains of King David's palace, built by King Hiram of Tyre, and mentioned in the Bible.
Why this find, why now and why are people amazed?
When Sanballat heard that Nehemiah was rebuilding the wall, he became angry and he ridiculed the Jews... “Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble—burned as they are?"
What was Nehemiah’s response? He prayed to God and continued his work. “So we rebuilt the wall till all of it reached half its height, for the people worked with all their heart.” Nehemiah 4:6
He encouraged his people to continue to work on behalf of the Lord and his beloved Jerusalem. “When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to his own work...Then I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, "The work is extensive and spread out, and we are widely separated from each other along the wall. Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!" Nehemiah 4:15-20
I want to encourage each and every one of you who is working tirelessly for Christians United for Israel on “the wall” to hear the words of Nehemiah... “Our God will fight for us!”
I know that many of you are in the battle! The battle is the Lord’s and has already been won! Shout the victory! May God bless you in your labors for His Kingdom.

Zechariah 1:14-17- November 26, 2007 “So the angel who spoke with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “I am zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with great zeal. I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; For I was a little angry, and they helped—but with evil intent.” ‘Therefore thus says the LORD: “I am returning to Jerusalem with mercy; My house shall be built in it,” says the LORD of hosts, “And a surveyor’s line shall be stretched out over Jerusalem.”’ “Again proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts: “My cities shall again spread out through prosperity; The LORD will again comfort Zion, and will again choose Jerusalem.”’” Zechariah 1:14-17
As the Annapolis Summit begins let us remember what the Lord says of His beloved Jerusalem. Let us who love Zion and who have taken a stand with her in this day of trouble intercede on her behalf. May those who defend her be as bold as a lion for the Lord will sustain them and they will be exalted above all nations. May those leaders and nations who come against her with “evil intent” be brought to confusion and may they be mocked and humiliated before their peers.
Thank you for your faithful prayers for Israel, her people and especially the city of Jerusalem.

Psalm 100:3,4- November 19, 2007 Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:3,4
I thank the Lord for the leadership of Christians United for Israel, all its members and participants for making this association possible. I know that your hard work and dedication has not gone unnoticed within the Jewish community, the State of Israel and more importantly, in the courts of heaven.
I pray the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob over you and your loved ones during this Thanksgiving season. May His lovingkindness be upon you each morning. May you flourish where He has planted you and may His love and protection be upon you and those you cherish.

Psalm 69:35, Psalm 102:13, Psalm 128:5, and Psalm 121- November 12, 2007 As the Annapolis conference approaches let us remember what King David says of the sacredness of Zion; the city of Jerusalem.
For God will save Zion and rebuild the cities of Judah. Then people will settle there and possess it; Psalm 69:35
You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. Psalm 102:13
May the LORD bless you from Zion all the days of your life; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem Psalm 128:5
We have confirmation that we are making inroads with our united efforts regarding our concern over further dividing the land of Israel especially the city of Jerusalem with our email Rapid Response Action Alert. If you have not participated, please do so now by clicking here. We ask that you send an email asking friends and family who believe as we do to join us in asking the President not to pressure the leaders of Israel to forfeit what has been covenant given by clicking here.
Please remember our Christians United for Israel Night to Honor Israel in Jerusalem to be held in April of 2008. Over 700 Christian Zionists have already registered for this trip of a life time. Aside from hosting a Night to Honor Israel we will present a Middle East Briefing given by Israeli military and policy experts. Our time together will culminate in a solidarity march through the streets of Jerusalem near the Old City. Our goal is to take 1,200 people, 100 for each tribe and encourage our Jewish brothers and sisters. If you wish to join us kindly click here for more information.
Let us not forget the three soldiers that remain captive, Captain Gilad Shalit, 20, Ehud Goldwasser, 31, and Eldad Regev, 26. We stand with their families, the Rabbis and the State of Israel who have asked us to join them in praying Psalm 121 for their safe release:
“I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore”.
I thank you for your faithful prayers and support of the state of Israel and the Jewish people through Christians United for Israel. Our united efforts are making a difference. May the blessings of Jehovah God be upon you and those you love as you pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:3 - November 5, 2007 I cannot stress enough the importance of daily “praying for the peace of Jerusalem” at this time in our history. One of the strongest prayers we can utter is “Lord, intervene.” Zechariah 12:3 states;
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
As for me and my house, we stand with the Lord. We will stand with Jerusalem and her people. As the Summit in Annapolis approaches, we ask of the Lord that He intervene in any plans that put the city of Jerusalem in peril. We pray that those who put Jerusalem and her inhabitants in harms way be brought to confusion and that those who do not stand with the Almighty and His word regarding Israel be changed in heart or removed from the Summit.
I thank the thousands of you who have sent message to the President regarding Israel. We must continue to pray for our President that he may clearly hear the voice of the Lord as he represents our country in this historic summit. May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob richly prosper you and those you love as you obey His commandments and heed His voice.

Psalm 102 - October 29, 2007 As we read and hear the world news speak of the conditions in the Middle East we could easily become disheartened, however we should be encouraged by the words of King David in Psalm 102;
But you, O LORD, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations. You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come. For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity. The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory. For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory.
Join me and thousands more as we pray for Jerusalem and those placed in power to make decisions regarding her future. The Lord promises in Proverbs 21:1 “The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; He directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases”.
There is One who is greater than all in authority who is keeping watch over this treasured city.
Profound thanks to those of you who participated in the email and phone communication to our President requesting him to take a bold stand against the enemies of Israel, America and the free world. Our voices do make a difference!
May the Lord bless you and keep you and may His goodness prevail upon your lives and the lives of those you love.

Psalm 121- October 22, 2007 As the November Annapolis Summit approaches, I ask that you join the leadership of CUFI in praying Psalm 121 for the protection of Jerusalem.
”I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.”
Psalm 133- October 15, 2007 As Turkey plans to go into Iraq where our soldiers are fighting, and Russia collaborates with Iran, all while plans for Jerusalem’s fate are being strategized, it is time to reflect on the spiritual blessings of life and what is going right.
Diana and I attended Rabbi Sheinberg’s Shabbat services on Saturday morning. I was moved to tears as I saw the apple of God’s eye bow their heads in reverence to the Torah, their heads covered in respect and their shoulders draped with the sacred prayer shawl. If not for the beautiful modern synagogue or contemporary clothing I would have thought I was observing an ancient worship service where Nathan, Samuel, David or Solomon might have participated.
To cap the three day celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles at Cornerstone Church we hosted the 26th Night to Honor Israel where thousands gathered from San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and cities around America, Europe and Israel to show support for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. Following the event we held a reception at our home for our Jewish friends. The evening was both magical and prophetic as Rabbi Sheinberg took my hands and we both danced under the stars as David danced before the Lord while Cantors led those present in songs calling for the coming of Messiah. The scripture that best describes the weekend, and what is happening through Christians United for Israel is Psalm 133;
How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
May the Lord richly prosper you and yours with good health and joy as you pray for the Peace of Jerusalem.

Eretz Israel- October 8, 2007 At a time when we hear news reports of world leaders demanding that Israel give up the land God has given to them by covenant, let us examine scripture and learn what God, Himself has to say about this ever-sensitive subject.
God has not left it to chance or to man to determine where each nation shall dwell upon the earth. He has an appointed dwelling place for each component of the human race.
The Almighty had to have a starting point when He began to assign His precious creation to the nations of the world; that starting point was Eretz Israel,
“I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. The whole land of Canaan, where you are now an alien, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God." Genesis 17:7
Moses speaks of this great inheritance in Deuteronomy 32:8,
“When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when He divided all mankind, He set up boundaries for the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel.”
Paul also speaks of this allocation of land in Acts 17: 26,
“From one man He (God) made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.”
The right to the land does not diminish in biblical reference; it increases,
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord. “When I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity and restore them to the land I gave their forefathers to possess.” Says the Lord.” Jeremiah 30:3
Ezekiel 36:17 refers to Israel as “their own land”.
“For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.”
God is a covenant-keeping God and He wants the whole world to know it. He not only allotted His land, He allotted Eretz Israel to the Jewish people through covenant and He confirms this transaction in Amos 9:15 emphatically stating that the Jewish people will never be uprooted again,
“I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them.”
The land that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob placed in the hands of the Jewish people by covenant was not Canada or Alaska, it was Zion...it is Eretz Israel.
I ask that you join us in praying daily for the peace of Jerusalem, and ask those of you which have not made your voice heard to the President regarding Iran’s Revolutionary Guard please click here to do so today.
If you desire to join Christians United for Israel in Israel please click here to register today.

Deuteronomy 31:10-11, Deuteronomy 16:13-17 and Zechariah 14:16 - October 1, 2007 One of the meanings of the Feast of Succot is that of harmony between fellow men. This is expressed in Deuteronomy 31:10-11, “At the end of the seven years, at the time of the Sabbatical year, during the Succot festival, when all Israel comes to appear before Hashem your God, in the place that He will choose, you shall read this Torah before Israel, in their ears.”
A second meaning is that of unity and harmony among nations. Deuteronomy 16:13-17 and Zechariah 14:16 mentions this phenomenon as being a time of rejoicing for those within Israel: “You shall make the festival of Succot for a seven day period...You shall rejoice in your festival...for Hashem will have blessed you in all your crop and in all your handiwork, and you will be completely joyous.
A third symbol is that of harmony between the Nations and Israel. As Christians, we are drawn to Jerusalem during Succot. Rabbi Richman believes, “It is as if their (Christians) heartstrings are pulled by some invisible magnet, the source of which they know not. Some force draws them to connect between Succot and the location of the Holy Temple.”
I differ with Rabbi Richman in only one way, we do know the source of our magnet...it is the Lord, our Savior. Just as we are drawn to the Promised Land, we are also drawn to love and support that covenant land and her people. As our Jewish friends celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles under their Succot, their “canopy of peace”, let us too celebrate the goodness of God and His many blessings on our lives.
I ask that as you pray for the peace of Jerusalem, you also pray about your active participation in Christians United for Israel. Ask the Lord what He will have you do and He will surely answer, and “they shall prosper that love thee.”
I want to thank those of you that have helped to fight the “bloodless war” against the evil forces that come against Israel and America by communicating to our President regarding Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard. If we unite, we can bankrupt one of the strongest sources of terrorism in the world today. That source is Iran. If you wish to participate, please do so click here.

Genesis 13: 14-17 - September 24, 2007 When you hear the world’s outcry of why Israel should divide and give away their covenant land in exchange for a false peace, remember the words of the Lord in Genesis 13: 14-17, “The Lord said unto Abram... ‘lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art...for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever...” As our Jewish friends celebrate their High Holy days continue to pray for blessings and protection over them as you pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Luke 7:4-6 - September 17, 2007 Christians are to support Israel because it brings the blessings of God. Jesus went to the house of Cornelius in Capernaum to heal his servant who was ready to die. Jesus went there because the Gentile centurion deserved the blessing of God since he had demonstrated his love for the Jews by building a synagogue in Israel.
Luke 7:4-6, “When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” So Jesus went with them.”
We must all ask ourselves the question, what have we done to show our love and support for the nation of Israel and the Jewish people, especially within our community? I ask that you make an earnest effort to host a Night to Honor Israel in your city, if you are unsure of what this evening is like, I invite you to join us at Cornerstone on October 14 at 6:30 pm and experience this life-changing night for yourself.
If you have already had a Night to Honor Israel, then make plans to join us in Jerusalem for our CUFI Israel Summit in April and please make sure to put the 2008 Washington/Israel Summit July 21-24, 2008 in Washington, DC on your calendar and begin to encourage those you influence to join us.
Blessings to you and those you love and may the Lord and His joy abound in you this week as you pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Psalm 83 : 1-5 - A song. A psalm of Asaph- September 11, 2007 On the sixth anniversary of September 11th, as the enemies of the United States and Israel continue their murderous plots against men, women, and children; let us draw strength from Psalm 83. Psalm 83 reminds us why it is imperative that Christians stand united with Israel.
Psalm 83 : 1-5 (NIV) A song. A psalm of Asaph O God, do not keep silent; be not quiet, O God, be not still. See how your enemies are astir, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. "Come," they say, "let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more. With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you

Transcript of Pastor Hagee’s Speech at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) Policy Conference

Good evening dear friends of Israel; thank you for the privilege and pleasure of speaking to this distinguished AIPAC gathering. May I begin by thanking Melvin Dow for his friendship and wisdom that have been a guiding light for me personally and in all out endeavors on behalf of Israel over the years. I also want to thank AIPAC and each of you for being Israels defender in the halls of the US Congress. You are the finest and most efficient advocacy organization in Washington, DC.
On September 10, 1981, we conducted our First Night to Honor Israel in San Antonio and there are two people with me tonight that made that First Night to Honor Israel possible - my wife Diana, the love of my life and Rabbi Aryeh Sheinberg without whose courage there would never have been the First Night to Honor Israel nor the birth of Christians United for Israel. There to my left, would you please stand; Id like you to be welcomed by this great group of people.
We meet tonight at dangerous and difficult time in world history. To anyone with eyes to see and ears that hear, it is clear that Israel is in the gravest danger she has faced since six Arab armies tried to strangle the Jewish state in the birth canal in 1948. I know that during difficult days such as this when it seems that the whole world is against Israel many in the Jewish community nervously scan the globe searching for friends. You look toward the United Nations which Dore Gold calls The Tower of Babble. You look at Europe where the ghost of Hitler is again walking across the stage of history. You open your newspapers and read about American universities where Israel is being viciously vilified by students taught by professors whose Middle Eastern chairs are sponsored by Saudi Arabia. You look to Americas mainline churches and their initiatives to divest from Israel. You go to the bookstore and see slanderous titles by the former President of the United States and you feel very much alone.
I came here tonight to speak about Christians United for Israel and millions of evangelicals in America who have a deep-seated faith-based belief to love Israel, to speak up for Israel, to standup for Israel, to pray for Israel and to financially support Israel until Israel achieves a just and lasting peace.
I came here tonight to deliver a message to you from those millions of evangelicals in America and I want to say this as clearly and plainly as I can possibly say it Israel you are not alone.
There are millions of evangelical Christians across America who consider the Jewish people the apple of Gods eye, who see you as the chosen people, a cherished people and a covenant people with an eternal covenant that will stand forever. Ladies and gentlemen of AIPAC its a new day in America. The sleeping giant of Christian Zionism has awakened; there are 50 million Christians standing up and applauding the State of Israel.
If a line has to be drawn, draw the line around both Christians and Jews; we are united; we are indivisible; we are bound together by the Torah the roots of Christianity are Jewish. We are spiritual brothers and what we have in common is far greater than the things weve allowed to separate us over the years.
As you know, Iran poses a threat to the State of Israel that promises nothing less than a nuclear holocaust. I have been saying on national television, in churches and auditoriums across America it is 1938; Iran is Germany and Ahmadinejad is the new Hitler. Ladies and gentlemen we must stop Irans nuclear threat and stop it now and stand boldly with Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. The only way to win a nuclear war is to make certain it never starts. Irans President has not limited his maniacal threats to Israel. He has also asked his fellow Iranians to imagine a world without America. This is a clear threat to destroy the United States of America. I have something to something to say to Irans President or Iran; Mr. Ahmadinejad, dont threaten America.
Do not threaten Israel by saying they will pass away in a sudden storm. In the Bible when Pharaoh threatened the Jewish people of Egypt he became fish food in the Red Sea. When Haman threatened the Jews in Persia in modern-day Iran he and his sons hung from the gallows that he built for the Jews. Mr. Ahmadinejads threats against Israel have a way of becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy; you may be well speaking about your own demise when you talk about passing away with a sudden storm, but you are not talking about Israels future.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is watching you. King David wrote that thou that keepeth Israel neither slumber nor sleeps. The Christians of America are not going to sit by in silence this time and watch you plod and plan a nuclear holocaust. There will never be another Holocaust - not on our watch and never again.
Beyond that threat from Iran, theres another more subtle threat that concerns me. I am concerned that in the coming months yet another attempt will be made to parcel out parts of Israel in a futile effort to appease Israels enemies in the Middle East. I believe that misguided souls in Europe, I believe that the misguided souls in the political brothel that is now the United Nations and sadly - and sadly even our own State Department will try once again to turn Israel into crocodile food. Winston Churchill said "an appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile in the futile hope that it will eat him last." In 1938, Czechoslovakias Sudetenland land was turned into crocodile food for Nazi Germany. The Nazi beast smelled the weakness in the appeasers, ate the food and marched and devoured most of Europe and systematically slaughtered 6,000,000 Jewish people.
We are again hearing calls to appease the enemies of Israel. Once again, those who would appease seek to do so at the expense of Israel. They tell us that if we want the Sunnis and the Shiites to stop massacring each other in Iraq then Israel must give up land. They tell us that if we want the Syrians to stop murdering the leaders in Lebanon, then Israel must give up land. They tell us if we want the Saudis to permit women to drive and to vote, Israel must give up land. If we want the sun to rise it the east and set in the west, Israel must give up land.
Let me be clear; Israel is not the problem here.
Scapegoating Israel will not solve the problem; the problem is the Arab rejection of Israels right to exist. The problem is that Israel has no partner for peace; the problem is radical Islams bloodthirsty embrace of a theocratic dictatorship that believes they have a mandate from God to kill Christians and Jews. The problem is the failure of the moderates in the Arab and Muslim world to stand up and rein in these Islamic extremists.
If the moderate Arabs believe that murdering Christians and Jews is wrong then standup and say so - this is America. We welcome your participation in free speech but your silence is deadly.
Appeasement is not the answer my friends. To quote the great evangelical abolitionist William Wilberforce, “appeasement is nothing more than surrender on the installment plan.” America should not pressure Israel to give up land and America must never pressure Israel to divide the City of Jerusalem.
Dore Gold in his latest book, The Fight for Jerusalem, said “turning part or all of Jerusalem to the Palestinians would be tantamount to turning it over to the Taliban.” I agree. Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish people now and forever. Jerusalem is united under Jewish control and must always remain under Jewish control.
Why do Christians support Israel? Truth is not what I say it is. Truth is not what you think it is. Truth is what the Torah says it is; theres the Torah way and the wrong way. Genesis 12 and 3 says I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you. We believe those blessings are very real and those judgments are very real.
Where are the nations that have persecuted the Jewish people? Where is Pharaoh and his army? Where are the Babylonians? Where are the Greeks? Where is the Ottoman Empire? Where are the Romans? Where is that goose-stepping lunatic Adolf Hitler and his Nazi hoards? All are historic footnotes in the bone yard of human history. Where is Israel? Where are the Jewish people? Theyre alive and well; theyre thriving; theyre prospering; theyre growing - even on a day of adversity theyre still going forward.
Where is Israel? Where are those who are scattered throughout the Diaspora? The mighty right hand of God has gathered them from the nations of the world and Israel was miraculously born May 15, 1948. Israel lives! Shout it from the housetop - Israel lives! Let every Islamic terrorist group hear it - Israel lives! Let every tinhorn dictator in the Middle East hear it - Israel lives! Let it be heard in the halls of the UN - Israel lives! Let it echo down the marble halls of the Presidential Palace in Iran Israel lives! Let it ring in the terrorist camps of Osama Bin Laden - Israel lives! Israel lives! Israel lives!
Jews have suffered programs and persecution; they have outlasted Pharaohs slavery and Hitlers final solution, and I have no doubt that long after Hamas and Hezbollah have been buried in the bone yard of human history, long after the crisis with Iran has been resolved, the Flag of Israel will still be flying over the ancient walls of the sacred city and Jerusalem and Israel will be the praise of all the earth.
Why do Christians support Israel - because Christians deeply believe we owe a debt of gratitude to the Jewish people; you gave us the word of God, you gave us the patriarchs - Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; you gave us the Prophets, Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zachariah, Amos, Josiah, Joel not a Baptist in the bunch. The first family of Christianity Mary, Joseph, and Jesus, the Apostles, John the fourth chapter says salvation is of the Jews; thats a New Testament verse. You dont hear it many sermons that preached on that but thats a real verse. Salvation is of the Jews; the point is if you take away the Jewish contribution to Christianity there would be no Christianity. Judaism does not need Christianity to explain its existence, but Christianity cannot explain its existence without Judaism.
Therefore, I have been saying for 26 years over national television its time for Christians to stop praising the dead Jews of the past - Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob while avoiding the Jews who live across the street. Thats anti-Semitism and anti-Semitism is sin and as sin it damns the soul. As Christians tonight on this historic occasion, we ask Gods forgiveness and yours for every act of anti-Semitism in our past. The crusades, the inquisition, Martin Luthers Concerning the Jews and Their Lies; the final solution of Adolf Hitler carried out by baptized Christians in good-standing with their church; the fact that the Roman Church was silent during these atrocities and did not share - we did not share their theology. They did not share our appreciation for the great contribution the Jewish people have given to humanity and to Christianity. Tonight I humbly ask forgiveness of the Jewish people for every act of anti-Semitism and the deafening silence of Christianity in your greatest hour of need during the Holocaust. We were not there; we cannot change the past but together we can shape the future. Think of our potential future together; 50,000,000 evangelicals joining in common cause with 5,000,000 Jewish people in America on behalf of Israel is a match made in heaven.
Let the word go forth from Washington, DC tonight. There is a new beginning in America between Christians and Jews. We pledge to God and to the Jewish people to fulfill the words of the Prophet Isaiah; for Zions sake we will not hold our peace and for Jerusalems sake we will not rest. You who make mention of the Lord do not keep silent and give the Lord no rest until he makes Jerusalem the praise of all the earth. We have organized Christians United for Israel. We have 13 Regional Directors; we have 40 State Directors; we have 80 City Directors and theyre growing. Were organizing Congressional District by Congressional District, so that as body we can standup and speak up for Israel every year in Washington, DC and Congress will know that the matter of Israel is no longer just a Jewish issue; it is a Christian Jewish issue from this day forward.
In closing, I believe 2007 is the year of destiny. America and Israel are at war with a common enemy. It is a war of good versus evil. It is a war of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness versus the culture of death. I close with the words of Winston Churchill, who is my favorite statesman of all time. Spoken during the dark days of World War II when Hitler seemed unbeatable and victory seemed impossible, Churchill said, "you ask what is our aim; I can answer in one word - it is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of the terror, victory however long and hard the road may be for without victory there is no survival." Ladies and gentlemen, as Christians and Jews, our aim is victory - victory for Israel and victory in our time. May God bless Israel; God bless America; and God bless each of you.

The Apple of HIS eye... Why Christians Should Support Israel
|
| |
or this is what the Lord Almighty says: "After He has honored me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you - for whoever touches you touches the apple of His eye - I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me. Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion...

Everything Christians do should be based upon the Biblical text. Here are seven solid Biblereasons why Christians should support Israel.
- Genesis 12:3 "And I will bless them that bless thee and curse him that curseth thee; and in thee shall all nations of the earth be blessed." Point: God has promised to bless the man or nation that blesses the Chosen People. History has proven beyond reasonable doubt that the nations that have blessed the Jewish people have had the blessing of God; the nations that have cursed the Jewish people have experienced the curse of God.
- St. Paul recorded in Romans 15:27 "For if the Gentiles have shared in their (the Jews) spiritual things, they are indebted to minister to them also in material things."
Christians owe a debt of eternal gratitude to the Jewish people for their contributions that gave birth to the Christian faith. Jesus Christ, a prominent Rabbi from Nazareth said, "Salvation is of the Jews!" (St. John 4:22) consider what the Jewish people have given to Christianity:
a) The Sacred Scripture b) The Prophets c) The Patriarchs d) Mary, Joseph, and Jesus Christ of Nazareth e) The Twelve Disciples f) The Apostles It is not possible to say, "I am a Christian" and not love the Jewish people. The Bible teaches that love is not what you say, but what you do. (1 John 3:18) "A bell is not a bell until you ring it, a song is not a song until you sing it, love is not love until you share it."
- While some Christians try to deny the connection between Jesus of Nazareth and the Jews of the world, Jesus never denied his Jewishness. He was born Jewish, He was circumcised on the eighth day in keeping with Jewish tradition, He had his Bar Mitzvah on his 13th birthday, He kept the law of Moses, He wore the Prayer Shawl Moses commanded all Jewish men to wear, He died on a cross with an inscription over His head, "King of the Jews!"
Jesus considered the Jewish people His family. Jesus said (Matthew 25:40) "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren (the Jewish people… Gentiles were never called His brethren), ye have done it unto me."
- "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee." (Psalm 122:6) the scriptural principle of prosperity is tied to blessing Israel and the city of Jerusalem.
- Why did Jesus Christ go to the house of Cornelius in Capernaum and heal his servant, which was ready to die? What logic did the Jewish elders use with Jesus to convince Him to come into the house of a Gentile and perform a miracle?
The logic they used is recorded in Luke 7:5; "For He loveth our nation, and He hath built us a synagogue." The message? This Gentile deserves the blessing of God because he loves our nation and has done something practical to bless the Jewish people.
- Why did God the Father select the house of Cornelius in Caesarea (Acts Chapter 10) to be the first Gentile house in Israel to receive the Gospel? The answer is given repeatedly in Acts 10.
Acts 10:2 "a devout man, (Cornelius) and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always." Who were the people to whom Cornelius gave these alms? They were the Jews!
Again is Acts 10:4 "… thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God."
Again in Acts 10:31 "… and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God." The point is made three times in the same chapter. A godly Gentile who expressed his unconditional love for the Jewish people in a practical manner was divinely selected by heaven to be the first Gentile house to receive the Gospel and the first to receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
These combined Scriptures verify that PROSPERITY (Genesis 12:3 and Psalm 122:6), HEALING (Luke 7:1-5) and the OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT came first to Gentiles that blessed the Jewish people and the nation of Israel in a practical manner.
- We support Israel because all other nations were created by an act of men, but Israel was created by an act of God! The Royal Land Grant that was given to Abraham and his seed through Isaac and Jacob with an everlasting and unconditional covenant. (Genesis 12:1-3, 13:14-18, 15:1-21, 17:4-8, 22:15-18, 26:1-5 and Psalm 89:28-37.)

Overview of "Jerusalem Countdown"
|
My new book “Jerusalem Countdown” has just been released and the war of words between Jerusalem and Iran are boiling!
Many have asked me “why” did I write this book? I have been going to Israel regularly since 1978 and over the years have developed a network of confidential sources that have a very clear and certain focus on strategic geo-political developments in Israel and the Middle East. I was given information by these sources who are predicting a military pre-emptive strike that would possibly occur in Israel between April and October of 2006. I personally believe that it will be sooner than later unless Iran suddenly yields to international and diplomatic pressure. This military strike is absolutely necessary on Israel’s part. I believe that if this conflict occurs, it could be the birthing of the war of Ezekiel 38:39
What does this mean to America? How does this affect you? If Iran’s nuclear facilities are attacked, you can be reasonably sure that Iran will counterattack either with nuclear missiles they have available or a series of dirty bombs sold to Al Qaeda sleeper cells in America waiting for the signal to attack.
If 9/11 proved anything... it proved that America is not immune from attack from our enemies. September 11th also proved, beyond any reasonable doubt, that our enemies are willing to use whatever weapons they have to kill as many Americans as possible. The highest honor in Islam is to die a martyr killing Christians and Jews.
The U.N. will send their nuclear teams to Iran and look the other way as long as possible. Why? Because the U.N. deeply resents the U.S. for not bowing to its global agenda. The U.N. is livid with the Bush Administration for going to war in Iraq when the United Nations disapproved of that war. America’s invasion of Iraq exposed the corruption in the U.N. with the “food for oil” scam involving the upper echelon of U.N. leadership.
The U.N. has labeled “Zionism” as “Racism” which means this international brothel has a long-standing documented hatred for Israel.
If Israel attacks, there will doubtless be a vast pan-Arabic Islamic army assembled to attack Israel and attempt to drive the Jews into the Dead Sea. Once again, Jerusalem becomes the target! A casual glance at the geo-political crisis of the Middle East with rogue terrorist states in possession of nuclear weapons... we are standing on the brink of a nuclear Armageddon. The Past is prologue. The final battle for Jerusalem is about to begin. You are watching everyday in the media the gathering storm over the State of Israel. The winds of war are once again about to sweep through the sacred city of Jerusalem. The world is about to discover the power of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Keeper of Israel “who never slumbers nor sleeps” (Psalms 121:4) and His righteous fury in the defense of Israel.
Before you can know and understand Israel’s future, you must know and understand their past. Before you can share in Israel's joy at the coming of Messiah, you must understand to some degree the pain and suffering of the Jewish people for the past two thousand years. I want to take you on a journey through the pages of world history and sacred Scripture to personally experience Israel's past before you can grasp the magnificent future God has planned for Israel and the Jewish people.
First, I want to introduce to you what Jerusalem means to God Himself. The Bible says, “I (God) have chosen Jerusalem, that my name may be there forever; and mine eyes and heart shall be there perpetually... in Jerusalem, which I have chosen... will I put my name forever.” (2 Chronicles 6:6, 7:16 and 33:7)
Then walk with me to the battle scene where King David battled the Jebusites and the forces of witchcraft to conquer the City of Jerusalem 3000 years ago, making Jerusalem the eternal and undivided capitol of the Jewish State.
Next, stand on the ancient walls of the sacred city and see the vast Assyrian Army under the vicious leadership of Sennacherib who intends to massacre the Chosen People. God's dramatic rescue of the Jewish people is only a fore-shadowing of what God plans for the enemies of Israel in the 21st century.
Following God’s dramatic rescue from Sennacherib and the Assyrians, we will sit together on the Mount of Olives and watch King Nebuchad- nezzar and the Babylonians capture thousands of Jews and take them into Babylon as servants of the state for seventy years. Why did God allow this? The answer is found in God’s love for the land of Israel and His judgment for those who violate His sacred commandments concerning the Promised Land.
After the battle with the Babylon- ians, we continue to sit on the crest of the Mount of Olives and watch the appearance of a Jewish Rabbi, Jesus of Nazareth, and Rome’s Calvary Conspiracy to execute him. Are the Jews the Christ killers? We will watch the poison fountains of anti-Semitism flow out of the mouths of the early Roman Church fathers that planted the seeds of hatred that produced a demonic harvest in Hitler’s holocaust.
Next comes the two Roman invasions: Titus in 70 A.D. and Hadrian in 130 A.D. in which the Temple was destroyed and 1.1 million Jews died defending the sacred name of Jehovah God from Roman paganism.
As the river of Jewish blood dries in the sands of the streets in Jerusalem, we next behold the marching armies of seven major Crusades marching from Europe to Jerusalem under the blessing of the Pope murdering, raping and robbing the Jews en route. When the first Crusade invaded the Holy City, they immediately begin to slaughter the Jews, burning more than 900 men, women and children under the sign of the cross as they sang, “Christ, We Adore Thee.”
Then we leap from the Middle Ages to the Twentieth Century and the greatest prophetic miracle of that era... the rebirth of the State of Israel, May 14, 1948 at 4:32 p.m. Isaiah 66:8 records it this way, “Shall a nation be born in a day?”
History continues to unfold with the Six-Day War of 1967 in which Jerusalem was reunited under Jewish leadership for the first time in 2000 years. The Bible says, “...and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” (Luke 21:24.) If you listen closely you can hear the footsteps of Messiah walking toward Israel.
This electrifying book shows the future of Israel revealed in prophecy by asking the provoking question, “Are we the terminal generation?” The answer is “yes” and I'll tell you why I think so. What is God's prophetic future for Israel and the Jewish people? We are swiftly approaching the day and the hour when God will fulfill the prophecy of Zachariah 12:10, which says, “And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplica-tions...” What is the “road map to peace?” It has three phases. 1.) Israel to give up the Gaza Strip (DONE!) 2.) Israel to give up Judea & Samaria- this is called the West Bank 3.) Israel to give up a portion of Jerusalem as a capitol for a Palestinian State. Are the Jews and the Evangelicals of the world ready to give up control of Jerusalem for any reason? It doesn’t take a Phi Beta Kappa to understand God’s position on this. Joel 3:2, “I will gather all nations (this includes America)… and I will enter into judgment with them on account of my people, my heritage Israel… whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also DIVIDED UP MY LAND!”
Jerusalem is the City of God! Psalms 132:13 “…the Lord has chosen Zion: He hath desired it for His habitation.” 2 Chronicles “…I God have chosen Jerusalem that my name might be there…”
There remains only one unchanging and sufficient reason for nations to align themselves with Israel; God has revealed clearly in his word that he intends to restore Israel and that he requires all other nations to cooperate with His purpose. Any nation that rejects this revelation of God's word, has in effect, rejected God himself, and therefore, must suffer the consequences.
At this point in America’s history, we are plainly rejecting the Word of God because, according to Joel 3, we are helping to divide the land of Israel. We, through billions in foreign aid, are pressuring Israel to abandon the covenant land that God has given to the Jewish people forever. America is in the valley of decision and we are making the wrong decision. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray for the security of America.
If America lifts her hand of protection from Israel, God will lift His hand of protection from America. He has the power to crush our economy, to allow our enemies to bathe our streets in our own blood and to make a Super Power a prophetic footnote in the world tomorrow. If there was ever a time to pray for the peace of Jerusalem... it’s now! Our world could change dramatically and permanently in 2006.

Our Jewish Roots
|
In June of 1978, I Went to Israel as a tourist and came home a Zionist! I have traveled the world but as I walked the cobblestone streets of the Holy City, I knew I was home! My roots were there! I felt a very special presence in that sacred city that changed my life forever!
As I stood praying at the Western Wall, I noticed an elderly Orthodox Jewish man praying with all his might, rocking back and forth, reciting Scripture and thought to myself “Here we are at the same holy place, praying to the same God, quoting the same Scripture… yet I know nothing about this man or his faith.”
In the days that followed, my heart was charged with a commission from the Holy Spirit to do all that I could possibly do to bring Christians and Jews together in an atmosphere of mutual esteem and unconditional love.
I told my wife Diana, what the Lord had placed within my heart. On the plane home, I sat down and recaptured my feelings and thoughts on paper. I had no idea how to bring Christians and Jews together without starting a riot.
Some months later, Israel bombed the nuclear reactor in Iraq. The media in San Antonio devoured Israel for this attack. I personally felt that Israel had done the peace-loving world a favor in stopping the construction of this nuclear reactor that most assuredly would have been used for production of nuclear bombs in the Middle East. It had been done with surgical precision without the loss of one life, against a nation that had a standing declaration of war against Israel since 1948.
As the television commentators devoured Israel, I said to Diana, “I don’t believe that at all. How can we express our support for Israel publicly that will make the press want to cover the event?”
Within minutes the idea came!
“We’ll rent the municipal auditorium, call a press conference, and have an event called ‘A Night To Honor Israel!’”
Diana asked a very important question, “Don’t you think you should ask the Jewish community if they want to do something like this?”
“How do we get in touch with the official Jewish community?” I knew there were Rabbis and after a few phone calls, I discovered something called the Jewish Federation where everything kosher starts and stops.
I went to the Federation the next day and asked to meet the Executive Director. I told him that I wanted to have an event called “A Night To Honor Israel.”
“You want to do what?” he gasped!
In the finest Jewish tradition, he called a committee meeting. That committee meeting developed into another committee meeting, which developed into a third committee meeting, which lasted until midnight. The Orthodox Rabbi, Arnold Scheinberg, pressed the Jewish community into taking a chance and extending its hand in mutual friendship. (It’s important that the Christian community realize that the Jews have suffered enormous persecution at the hands of Christians for almost 2000 years and their trust of Christians is somewhere between little and none).
The Jewish community agreed to join us in what was intended to be the first and only “Night to Honor Israel!”
We called a press conference and the story made banner headlines. Within an hour after the newspaper hit the street, I received a death threat stating that I would be shot before the event happened.
September 10, 1981, the first Night to Honor Israel was presented at the Theatre of Performing Arts in San Antonio, Texas. The house was packed! The Jews were asking, “So what’s this Gentile up to?” The Christians were asking, “Why are we doing this?” There was enough tension there to give a doorknob a headache. The 120-voice choir and 40-piece orchestra of the Cornerstone Church took their positions.
As tension melted away to the sounds of Hebrew music, I gave a speech stating why Christians should support Israel and we gave Hadassah Hospital more than $10,000.00 cash on the spot. As Rabbi Scheinberg was giving the benediction, the Director of Security came to me and said the San Antonio Light Newspaper had just called and said there was a bomb threat on the building. The building was supposed to blow up exactly at 9:30 p.m. I looked at my watch. It was 9:25 p.m.
I listened to the Rabbi praying and said a prayer of my own, “Lord, don’t let him pray like Moses right now. Have him pray like a Presbyterian late for lunch!”
There was no bomb… but there was an explosion in our hearts. We knew that we had something that was near the heart of God the Father. As we walked off the stage, I said to Diana, “We need to do this in Houston!”
We did! Then “A Night To Honor Israel” went to Fort Worth, Austin, Dallas, Corpus Christi, Houston four more times; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Phoenix, Arizona, and to all parts of Israel. It’s an event that has a proven track record of bringing Christians and Jews together in a non-threatening environment that promotes genuine brotherly love.
If Christianity cannot demonstrate unconditional love, we are nothing more than another cult! Jesus Christ taught the Law of Love with, “Love thy neighbor as thyself” (Matthew 19:19); “For if you love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same?” (Matthew 5:44); “A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another; as I have loved you” (John 13:34) “He that you loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love” (1 John 4:8). How did Jesus love the Gentiles? The Biblical text says He loved us “while we were yet sinners” meaning, He loved us when we didn’t deserve to be loved! It’s time for Christians everywhere to return the love of our Lord to His family, the Jewish people.
WHAT IS A “NIGHT TO HONOR ISRAEL”?
A “Night To Honor Israel” is a non-conversionary salute to the nation of Israel and the Jewish people of the world. Its purpose is to promote esteem and understanding between Christians and Jews, to emphasize the things that we hold in common, not dramatize our religious differences.

Christians Have a Biblical Duty to Support Israel in Time of Need, The Jewish Telegraphic Agency, July, 18, 2006
|
This week, more than 3,000 Christians representing all 50 states gathered in Washington for a truly historic event. Without the traditional rally on the Capitol steps or demonstrations that bring Washington traffic to a halt, Christians United for Israel held a banquet saluting the State of Israel and met with members of Congress to urge greater support for the Jewish state.
Christians United for Israel, or CUFI, is not a lobbying group; we are a national Christian organization that urges stronger U.S. support for Israel, especially in light of growing international tensions. Delegates came to Washington at their own expense to exercise their right to meet with members of Congress.
Pastor John C. Hagee is the founder and senior pastor at the Cornerstone Church of San Antonio; president and CEO of John Hagee Ministries; and founder and national chairman of Christians United For Israel.

Israel If Replaced, Why Reborn?
|
For 1,800 years, the church fathers ranted that the church is the new Israel. To prove that God had turned His back on the Jews, they pointed to the wandering, tormented Jews of the Diaspora, saying, "If God is with them, why has this homeless befallen them?"
They forget that for the most part european Jews were living in states controlled by the Church of rome. They were existing without rights, without property, without legal redress, and without human dignity. The medieval church created its own self-fulfilling prophecy. Replacement theologians ignore a fundamental fact in the biblical text. When God removes or destroys something, you never hear from it again. like sodom and gomorrah, which were so thoroughly destroyed that archaeologists can’t even find the ashes of those cities, it is twice dead, plucked by the roots and cast over the wall to be turned and forever forgotten.
If the church fathers were correct and israel were indeed replaced, she should have vanished like snow in the desert sun. By all rights, she should have disappeared. But she didn’t. on May 5, 1948, a theological earthquake leveled replacement theology when the state of israel was reborn after 2,000 years of wandering. From the four corners of the earth, the seed of abraham returned to the land of their fathers. They arose from their gentile "graves" (ezek.37:12) speaking sixty different languages, and they founded a nation that has become a superpower in forty years. Far from passing away, the state of israel is building, growing, inventing, and developing. The desert is indeed blooming like a rose, just as isaiah the prophet promised (35:1).
You can’t avoid the central issue. If God was finished with the Jews and israel, if they were really a cast-offrelic of the past without divine purpose or destiny, why did He allow the state to be miraculously renewed?
If replaced, why reborn? The resurrection of God’s chosen people is living prophetic proof that israel has not been replaced. They were reborn in a day (isa.66:8) to form the state of israel that shall endure until the coming of the Messiah.
If israel as a nation had not been reborn, if the Jews had not returned to the land, if the cities of israel had not been rebuilt, if Judea and samaria (the West Bank) had not been occupied, if the trees the Turks cut down had not been replanted, if the agricultural accomplishments of israel had not been miraculous, there would be a valid reason to doubt that the Word of God is true.
However, in the light of the above-mentioned miracles, none can doubt the absolute accuracy of the prophetic scriptures concerning the rebirth and restoration of the Jewish state.
Read God’s Word as His prophets declare His intention for the Jews to inhabit israel - isaiah wrote: 35:10; 61:4; 44:26. ezekiel speaks: 20:33-34, 40-42; 34:28-30; 11:17-19. Jeremiah speaks: 31:10-12; 30:3, 10-11; David speaks in the Psalms: 126:1-2; 107:1-3; 1:14-17.
The old Testament prophets are clear and united in their opinions replacement theology is completely wrong, misguided, ill conceived, and incorrect. The Jews have not been replaced, for they will return to Jerusalem, the city of God, and the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will be their God.
Jesus did not support replacement theology Jesus was the greatest teacher of the ages. He gave us thee chapters (Matt.24, Mark 13, and luke 21) that are prophetic and present the chronological events of the future from His time until His second coming. In Matthew 24:3, His disciples asked Jesus three questions:
1. When shall these things be? This question referred to the destruction of the temple. Jesus answered in luke 21:20, "When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then you know that its desolation is near." This prediction was fulfilled in A.D.70 when the Roman general Titus destroyed Jerusalem.
2. And what will be the sign of Your coming?
3. and of the end of the age? in spite of the "kingdom now" theology (whose adherents believe the church will be so victorious that we will usher in the millennial age), this world is coming to an end. in galatians 1:4, Paul wrote that Christ "gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father" (italics mine).
There is not a single hint in one of these passages supporting replacement theology. Paul did not mention the demise of the Jewish nation, nor did Jesus.
Let’s look at Matthew 24:15-18, where Jesus described the great period of tribulation that will come upon the earth. This verse assumes that israel is living in its homeland and in control of the city of Jerusalem. "Therefore," said Jesus, "when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place…then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes."
The "holy place" Jesus mentioned is the temple in Jerusalem. The Jews are in control of the temple at this time right before the Tribulation. How could they control the temple without being in control of Jerusalem? How could they be in control of Jerusalem if they were replaced?
"Let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains," Jesus said. Judea is what the media now call the West Bank. Jesus’ statement assumes that in the last days the Jews would be living on the West Bank. in the next several verses, Jesus describes a general evacuation of the population in and around Jerusalem because of a pending military attack.
When this military attack comes, warned Jesus, don’t go to Jerusalem for safety. You will have only a few minutes to save your life. Flee to the mountains outside Jerusalem as a matter of civil defense. Jesus continues, "let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. and let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes."
The rooftops in Jerusalem, both now and in Jesus’ time, are flat. There is usually an outside stairway leading to the ground. When this attack comes, Jesus warned, don’t worry about saving anything in the house, just run for your life. And if you are in the fields, laboring in your work clothes, don’t run back to the house to change.
Jesus continues," But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be" (Matt. 24:19-21).
Why woe to those who are pregnant and with nursing babies? Why pray that your escape would be not in winter or on the sabbath? Because an escape would be much more difficult. This verse again indicates that the religious Jews are in control of an israeli government where the laws of the sabbath are being strictly enforced.
I don’t know if you’ve had the opportunity to travel in Israel on the Sabbath, but i can assure you that everything shuts down on saturday. There is no transportation. even the elevators in the hotels and high-rise apartments stop on every floor automatically.
If an Arab missile with a nuclear warhead or poison gas struck Jerusalem on the sabbath, the attack would result in mass destruction.
Jesus confirms that the Jews are back in Israel in Matthew 24:22 when He says, "and unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened."
"The elect" are the Jewish people. if Jesus and the prophets were convinced that Israel would return to the land, and if they were certain Israel had not been cast aside or replaced in the economy of God, how is it that America’s replacement theologians have come up with a different idea? Did it spring from narcissism? Anti-Semitism?
Replacement Theology is Idoltary Replacement theology violates the Ten Commandments. First Samuel 15:23 tells us, "For rebellion is a sin of witchcraft, and tubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry."
This verse says two things: (1) rebellion equals witchcraft and (2) stubbornness equals idolatry. Who is a stubborn person? People who refuse to change their ideas even when they are in direct conflict with God’s Word are the worst kind of stubborn. These people idolize their opinions and are soon in open rebellion against the will and Word of God.
Christians would never dream of allowing their pastor to preach with a statue of Buddha draped around his neck - that’s open idolatry. But they think nothing of permitting their pastor, whose stubborn personal opinions about israel are exactly opposite the Word of God, to lead them into dangerous deception.
Has the church replaced Israel? Not in the opinion of Jesus and the prophets of Israel. The canon of scripture and modern history are witnesses to the fact that Israel has been reborn and will endure forever.
From the dark days of Jewish persecution in Germany, a legend has survived. according to the story, a pastor, acting out Nazi orders, looked upon his congregation and told them, "all of you who had Jewish fathers will leave and not return."
A few worshippers rose and slipped out of the sanctuary. The pastor then said, "all of you who had Jewish mothers must go and not return." Again, a few worshippers arose and departed. Suddenly those who remained in their pews turned pale and began to tremble with fear. The figure of Christ on the cross above the altar loosed itself and left the church.
Think about it. if Jesus Christ came to your church this sunday morning, would the ushers let Him enter the front door? He would appear small and slender, with penetrating dark eyes, a swarthy complexion, and prominent semitic features. He would have earlocks, hair uncut at the corners, and full beard. His shoulders would be draped with a talit, or prayer shawl.
If Jesus identified Himself to your congregation as a rabbi who befriended prostitutes and socialized with tax collectors and people with aiDs, would He be welcomed? if He confessed that He was hated by the government and traveled with twelve unemployed men with full beards and shoulder-length hair, could they find a seat in your pews?
If your deacons asked Him about His doctrinal position and He responded, "i believe in baptism by immersion, casting out demons, and healing the sick," would they let Him stand behind your pulpit? If He commanded your wealthiest church members to sell all they had to give to the poor, if He entered your beautiful church gym and turned over the bingo tables shouting, "My house shall be called a house of prayer," would you call the police?
The simple truth is this: after 2,000 years of antisemitic teaching and preaching, we have lost sight of the Jewishness of our Hebrew savior. But He was born to Jewish parents, His ancestors were Jewish, He was raised in the Jewish tradition, He lived and worshiped as a Jew, He died as a Jew, and He will return as a Jew. When you kneel tonight to pray, the one who hears you is a rabbi named Jesus of Nazareth.

TOP Psalm 69:34-36- April 6, 2009 “Let heaven and earth praise Him, the seas and all that move in them, for God will save Zion and rebuild the cities of Judah. Then people will settle there and possess it; the children of His servants will inherit it, and those who love His Name will dwell there.” Psalm 69:34-36
When IDF soldier Gilad Shalit was captured in late June of 2006, the Rabbis interceding for his release asked us to join them in praying Psalm 121 over his safety. I ask that you join me in praying this Psalm everyday this week in the spirit of unity with our Jewish friends on behalf of Gilad’s release.
Psalm 121
The LORD the Keeper of Israel.
1I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? 2My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. 3He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4Behold, He who keeps Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep. 5The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade on your right hand. 6The sun will not smite you by day, Nor the moon by night. 7The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. 8The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in From this time forth and forever. |
